Eglingham Village Hall

Planned events.

The Hall is located in the centre of the village next to the bridge.

Originally it was a flour mill but in 1914 it was leased to the village, by the owners of Eglingham Hall, to provide a venue for social events.  Despite its age the Hall is structurally in a very good state. Grants from the Community Fund have provided a new heating system, roof, cloakroom and a new kitchen refurbishment.

For over 100 years it has continued to provide a focus for village activities, events and is also available for private hire.

Facilities

The Hall consist of a single large room which can host events for up to a maximum of 100 people.

There is also has a stage which is often used for live musical performances and in the past has hosted pantomimes and plays.  It also has a sound system and large drop down screen suitable for illustrated talks or films.

The Hall now has a broadband connection. The password is displayed on the noticeboard at the entrance.

Regular events

The Hall is used by a number of groups which meet regularly including the Women’s Institute and Craft Group. For more information please see the section “Associated Organisations”.

The Hall plays host to a second hand book stall, for a small amount you can pick up a book and the money going to the Hall’s funds.  Donations to the library are always welcome.

Private Hire

The Hall is available for private hire and can be booked on an hourly, half day or daily basis.  The room is suitable for small meetings, lectures and social functions.
Hirers are very welcome to serve their own food from the newly refurbished kitchen using the Hall’s crockery, glasses etc.
